Keyboard Shortcuts

Motor Sound Editor currently supports the following high‑frequency shortcuts and interaction conventions.

Global Editing Shortcuts

The following shortcuts are available in the editor page:

• Space: Play / Pause preview
• Ctrl+S: Save
• Ctrl+Shift+S: Save As
• Ctrl+Z: Undo
• Ctrl+Y: Redo
• Ctrl+Shift+Z: Redo
• Ctrl+D: Clear current selection
• Delete: Delete the selected keyframe point(s)

Drive Mode Shortcuts

Quickly switch the current simulation drive state:

• W: Cycle drive mode upward
  • brake -> coasting -> traction
• S: Cycle drive mode downward
  • traction -> coasting -> brake

Mouse and Modifier Key Conventions

• Ctrl + Scroll: Zoom horizontally, anchored at the current mouse position
• Shift + Scroll: Scroll the editing area horizontally
• Hold Shift while dragging keyframes: Snap to step increments
• Hold Ctrl while dragging keyframes: Snap to grid
